i took a walk

oh. hello!

Oh oh. I just couldn't find the right thing to replace my winter wreath this year, and well...someone else decided to make good use of it while I was being so indecisive! I can't really blame her - it made a beautiful cozy home for these...

 

One day long into this adventure, I was trying to get a good photo and two birdies were startled and suddenly flew out, never to return to the nest. They didn't exactly clean up after themselves before they left either...ahem. Meanwhile, Momma Bird had already begun to build ANOTHER (freaking) nest on our porch, this time in the top corner of the outside post! While I love nature & birds and such, we haven't been able to sit out on our porch for a couple months! [note to self:::remember this next Spring...]

 

Needless to say, the two resident kitties have been smacking their lips as they watch the activity outside our window. Another week and maybe the last of the birdies will be able to take up residence here with the rest of the family? One can only hope! I miss knitting outside, sipping a cold drink in my Adirondack chair! :-)
